Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is assessing his options ahead of the January transfer window with Arsenal open to offers for their now exiled former captain, football.london understands.
The 32-year-old is currently training away from the first team with no return date given following his latest disciplinary breach which led to the Gabon international being removed as Gunners captain.
Aubameyang would be keen on a return to France where his mother was based up until recently, while Spain and Italy remain attractive destinations for the experienced striker who speaks both languages fluently.
Barcelona have yet to make an approach for Aubameyang despite initial reports linking the forward with a move, and with Ferran Torres set to join from Manchester City it appears unlikely that a deal will happen.
Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in the past but any move is expected to be reliant on whether Kylian Mbappe leaves the club in the coming transfer windows.
Juventus and AC Milan have also been alerted to Aubameyang’s availability but as things stand no club has lodged a formal offer for the frontman, whose current Arsenal contract expires in 2023.
Aubameyang’s £350,000-a-week salary will indeed prove a stumbling block to most clubs in Europe, although it’s expected that Arsenal will subsidise part of a potential deal.
