The 43-year-old “Ghost Whisperer” actress took to Instagram over the weekend to share a video of herself playing with the “perfecting” filters available on Instagram.
Hewitt cautioned fans not to be fooled by the video — even thought she admitted she liked how the filter made her look.
“I do not look like this,” Hewitt said to her more than a million followers in the clip. “I wish I did. But I don’t. But I wish I did. But I don’t.”
Fans quickly responded to the “9-1-1” star’s post and applauded her for her transparency and advocating for natural beauty.

“It’s crazy how we are all perfect to everyone else— besides ourselves,” one Instagram user replied.
“I see the same thing when I do filters on myself,” another admitted. “But when I see them on other women, I think it just looks like them with just the slightest touch-up. We’re so hard on ourselves.”
“You are literally gorgeous. No filter needed,” a fan assured the star.
“You’re beautiful! Thank you for sharing this. I’m so tired of seeing these filters on everyone, but also can’t stop using them myself because I’m scared to not meet current beauty standards,” someone else commented. “It’s such a toxic cycle. But it ends with more people like you speaking up about these unrealistic filters.”
Other fans assured the star that she didn’t need to long for the filtered version of herself, she’s beautiful as is.
