No one is ready for the Meghan Markle vs. Kate Middleton rumors to stop more than the Duchess of Cambridge herself.
Sources say that she is trying to end any perception of coldness between the two. While sources maintain the two women still aren’t close, they are not feuding.
While Kate can’t help the brothers mend their rumored feud, she can make sure Meghan knows that they’re on good terms.
For Kate, it’s about keeping their relationship professional and putting on a show of togetherness,” a source told Vanity Fair.
That’s why the mother of three greeted her sister-in-law with a kiss at Westminster Abbey on Commonwealth Day.
Not only was Meghan able to see a kind gesture from Kate, but they knew the world was watching.
It’s important for the Duchesses to look united right now because their households are being divided.
Meghan and Prince Harry are moving out of Kensington Palace, where Prince William and Kate live, to Frogmore Cottage (possibly at the suggestion of Queen Elizabeth II).
However, it isn’t just physical distance. They’re separating their professional households as well.
“It’s not always been easy, there have been issues behind the scenes, but Harry and Meghan want to leave on good terms and Kate especially has been making a real effort,” a different source told the magazine.
There are no bad feelings and I think Kate was keen to put an end to these rift rumors.
She has no problem with Meghan and she has made it clear to Meghan that she’s there for advice or whatever Meghan might need.
While rumors of a royal rift between the Duchesses seem to be clearing up, the same can’t be said about their husbands.
Prince Harry supposedly has been fighting with Prince William ever since the latter allegedly questioned if Meghan could handle joining the royal family.
The Duke of Sussex felt his wife wasn’t given the welcome she deserved, and it isn’t clear if the men have made amends.
