Mbappe: An option to become Real Madrid’s future striker

For the last few months, Real Madrid fans and directors have dreamed of having both Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe in the same squad.

They did try to lure the Norway international to Madrid, but the financial and sporting reality forced them to withdraw their interest.

Los Blancos need a striker to cover for Karim Benzema, as neither Mariano Diaz nor Luka Jovic are expected to stay at the club ahead of next season.

Real Madrid’s intention is to find a young, talented player who can become an elite striker in the future. Meanwhile, with Benzema being an undisputed starter, Mbappe could also play as a false nine.

The current Paris Saint-Germain forward is aware of Real Madrid’s intention and he is open to the idea.

However, this doesn’t mean that Real Madrid are not looking for a player who can make the difference. They don’t see it as an urgent matter, but after Haaland’s move to Manchester City was made official, Los Blancos are trying to look for a striker who will make the difference in the future.

Vinicius, Benzema and Rodrygo
Going into next season, Real Madrid’s attack is currently set to consist of Vinicius Junior, Benzema and Rodrygo Goes, while everything indicates that Eden Hazard will stay for another season despite his injuries.

Carlo Ancelotti does not have either Mariano or Jovic in his plans and it remains to be seen what will happen with Marco Asensio, whose contract ends on June 30, 2023.

Neither Raul de Tomas nor Borja Mayoral are expected to return, as Real Madrid will not be in a rush to sign a striker should Mbappe join in the summer.

Endrick and Moukoko
One of the forwards that has triggered Real Madrid’s interest is 15-year-old Brazilian Endrick, who has shined at Palmeiras’ youth sides but has yet to get experience with the first team
