Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced the birth of their baby girl today – and made a sweet and selfless gesture at the same time.
Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was welcomed to the world on Friday, June 4 at 11.40am, weighing 7 lbs 11 oz.
The little girl will be known as Lili for short. She is now settling into her new home in California with her royal family after her birth at a Californian hospital.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the happy news on their Archewell website in a statement that said both Meghan and the new arrival were “healthy and well”.
And in line with their philanthropic work, the couple also selflessly announced they wanted any and all gifts that people wished to send to congratulate them to instead be sent to charity.
