Prince Charles is “boiling with anger” after his son Harry’s latest attacks over his treatment by the royal family, according to an expert.
The heir to Queen Elizabeth reportedly feels “tortured” by Prince Harry’s “constant digs” as he continues to speak to the media about his life as a royal.
In his now-infamous interview alongside his wife with Oprah Winfrey.
Harry claimed his father’s style of parenting had passed on the “pain and suffering” he had himself experienced, and said he wanted to “break the cycle”.
Royal expert Nick Bullen, editor in chief of True Royal TV, said Charles is “hurt” and “disappointed” by his youngest son’s comments, but is holding back from responding publicly.
He told US Weekly : “It appears nothing is off limits now”. “It’s sad that their private family affairs are being aired in public yet again.”
Mr Bullen said the revelations from Prince Harry’s interviews with Oprah and others have come as a huge surprise to prince Charles, who “is boiling with anger” over his son’s comments.
“He feels tortured by Harry with his constant digs. He wishes he’d just let it drop”, he said.
“The general consensus within the royal family is to ignore Harry’s behaviour to avoid fanning the flames, but Charles is finding it hard to hold back.
He really wants to defend himself.” Since their move to the United States in 2020, Harry and wife Meghan Markle have settled in California.
They sent shockwaves through the monarchy with their bombshell interview with Winfrey earlier this year.
The couple accused members of the royal family of racism and Meghan shared how she considered suicide while the couple were working royals.
In a series of TV interviews with Oprah titled ‘The Me You Can’t See’, Prince Harry accused the royal family of “total neglect” while he was being hounded by the media.
He also complained about his upbringing by Prince Charles In the Apple TV+ series, saying that he would “never be bullied into silence again”.
He claimed his dad allowed him to “suffer” as a child in the face of the media.
