Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reported to have bought a “Lilibet Diana” domain name in the run up to confirming the birth.

Baby Lili joined Harry and Meghan’s growing family earlier this month after her birth in the United States. The domain name was registered on May 31, 2021.

A spokesman for the couple told The Telegraph : “Of course, as is often customary with public figures, a significant number of domains of any potential names that were considered were purchased by their team to protect against the exploitation of the name once it was later chosen and publicly shared.”Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'bought Lilibet Diana website URL before the Queen approved name’

Buckingham Palace released a statement after the birth which said: “The Queen, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news.”

Prince Harry and Meghan wrote in an online statement on their website: “On June 4, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili.Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'bought Lilibet Diana website URL before the Queen approved name’

She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe.

“Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.”

Lilibet joins baby Archie in their family, with the family now residing in Los Angeles, in California, in the United States, following the controversial Megxit.
