Salma Hayek‘s Friday Instagram update clocked the likes in lightning speed – over 216,000 had been logged at the two-hour mark, with the comments section to the 55-year-old’s photo now overflowing with fan meltdowns. The “Frida” actress’ post was an unusual and eye-catching display of flexibility – a caption also saw the Mexican give a nod to the novel coronavirus as she mentioned “three weeks” of quarantine.
Yoga in heels came in hashtag form as the Latina posted what was likely a throwback – yesterday’s sizzling cupped dress was confirmed as an old photo. Today left it open to interpretation.
Salma’s photo showed her spread out on a white table with a small green cushion as she lay on her front, seen clinging onto her ankles with her arms behind her. The brunette was rocking a skin-tight black mini dress with matching, dagger-stiletto heels. Despite the formal attire, the vibe was off-beat as Hayek gazed ahead, delivering both her fierce beauty and a caption that seemed to show her going out of her mind.
“When you start losing it after three weeks of quarantine. Cuando se te empieza a ir la onda después de tres semanas en cuarentena. challenge #yogainheels #quarantinemood,” she wrote.
Comments came in fast for this post.“What a shape you have,” one user wrote.“Guuurl haha,” was another comment.“Omg” saw one fan taken aback, with a fair few stating that they wouldn’t mind spending coronavirus quarantine with “Like A Boss” actress.
“Come and lose it with me,” one user said, with another saying: “Wouldn’t mind losing it with you.”“Stretching is important,” a further fan added, with plenty of users opting down the emoji route. While Hayek was accused of using too much Botox in a post made earlier this year, today’s update appeared to garner few – if any – complaints.
Salma has been steadily updating her social media amid the global pandemic. While a recent post shouted out Italian luxury designer Gucci‘s donations to the relief effort – in particular, the brand’s focus on formerly worst-hit Italy – another simply showed the star’s dog looking cozy in a Bottega Veneta handbag.
“Bee is very serious about this social distancing thing! Hope you all are getting to spend quality time with your pets and loved ones ? ? Mi Bee se a tomado muy en serio lo del distanciamiento social. Espero que todos estén disfrutando pasar tiempo con sus mascotas. ✨,” Salma captioned the shot.
Salma made headlines recently for a social media post acknowledging the vulnerable. The star’s throwback of herself sitting on a white wicker balcony chair and resting her chin on a ledge came captioned:
“I know most of us are doing our best to stay inside and distance ourselves, but at least we are going through this together and thinking of the people who are most vulnerable.”
Salma has 14.5 million Instagram followers. Her account is followed by high-profile faces including Emma Watson, Halle Berry, Reese Witherspoon, and Gal Gadot, plus Jennifer Aniston.
