WWE News: Here’s how Twitter reacted to Toni Storm’s sudden release- Smackdown Superstar Toni Storm has bid adieu from WWE after the company granted her release. Fightful and PWInsider reported that the Australian Superstar and the former NXT UK Women’s Champion requested her release, and the company let her go.

Toni’s release has come as a massive shock in the WWE Universe, especially when she was in a middle of a push. She recently lost a Smackdown Women’s Championship bout against Charlotte Flair and was expected to challenge her again at the WWE Day 1 PPV event on January 1, 2022.

Upon her sudden exit from the company, many former and current WWE Superstars along with renowned wrestling reporters, have expressed their views on her exit. Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch shared a story on Instagram with a picture of Toni Storm and a caption reading, “I hope we meet in the ring one day.”

Becky Lynch and Toni Storm never crossed paths in WWE. After her main roster call-up, Toni moved to Smackdown, while Becky Lynch got drafted to Monday Night Raw in October 2021.

Besides Becky Lynch, former Smackdown women’s superstar Tegn Nox, who got released two months back, also posted a message on her official Twitter handle for Toni Storm. She posted, “Toni FUCKING storm!! Go best friend, go be you!!”

AEW’s Women’s Champion, Dr. Britt Baker, also posted a picture of Toni Storm on her official Twitter handle.
